For the last few days I’ve been exploring a simple observation:
Most people don’t fail because they’re not good enough. They get stuck in the gap between who they’ve become and the tribes (and companies) that no longer fit.
The conversation started with a broken childhood flashlight and ended with Hank standing in an alley, learning when to speak in stories instead of systems.
Along the way:
- “Overqualified” turned out to be gaslighting.
- Corporate euphemisms revealed their true translations.
- The loneliness of outgrowing your tribe became transitional, not terminal.
- A list of grounding rituals became more useful than another motivational slogan.
I’ve combined the four posts into a single downloadable PDF.
No worksheets. No action plan. No seven-step transformation.
Just four connected field notes exploring what happens when you see clearly but still have to live among people — and how to stay human while doing it.
