Punching down pays, apparently

If you get slammed in the trend where “influencers” are punching down on normal people working and earning a living, get a reply ready. This helps you frame it objectively while working on ways to exit, if you even want to leave the job. It’s so easy to feel guilty about not doing enough to escape. This beats the elevated urgency appeal used by many content creators.

The answer I once posted:

Hey man, cool rant. Real edgy.
You think you’re the first dude to notice a paycheck ain’t freedom?
Most men you call “slaves” already know the game.
They feed kids. They keep roofs over their heads.
They get up every day and fight in quiet ways you don’t see.
They build side hustles, they save scraps, they study at night.
They’re not drooling zombies waiting for your TikTok wisdom.
Some jobs suck, but no job at all sucks harder.
Try telling a broke dad “just quit and bet on yourself” when rent’s due.
Not everyone wants to be a CEO or dropship crap from Bali.
Some people like building real things, fixing stuff, helping others.
Some find dignity in hard work while they plan what’s next.
Comfort ain’t always poison, sometimes it’s a life raft.
A raft until you swim to better shores.
You call that slavery? It’s survival.
Freedom ain’t free, it’s paid for by sweat, not whining.
You got your hustle? Good. Some men have theirs too.
So climb off your soapbox. Respect the grind you can’t see.
If you want to wake people up, show them real exits.
Don’t sneer at the ones still rowing the boat you’re standing on.

That’s it. So reply, or scroll past the sludge. I manage to do that more often these days.
